In addition to the traditional and new offerings, Serie sFest is proud to announce a partnership with Level Forward and the creatio n of the Level Forward Impact Award. The Level Forward Impact Award will be given to the episodic pilot and team who demonstrate, on top of their comm itment to creative excellence, a thoughtful, thorough, and deliberate appro ach to using storytelling as a means of leveling the playing field for unde rrepresented people including women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA and alternatively abled voices. The Award includes one year of development in partnership with Lev el Forward. In keeping with Level Forward’s mission to advance the access, opportunity, and influence of storytelling, the program identifies compelli ng and entertaining pilots that have incorporated this ethos into the fabri c of their process and project.
“SeriesFest and Level Forward are ali gned in rewarding more thoughtful, thorough, and deliberate approaches to s torytelling,” said Level Forward CEO and Co-Founder, Adrienne Becker. “We k now first-hand how difficult it can be to take the extra time and spend the extra dollar to tell stories through a leveling lens. To those who do, thi s award acknowledges and honors your example, and commits to continue explo ring ways of systematizing and incentivizing the equity of opportunity. The Level Forward Impact Award will be another step in that direction.”
